Christine E. Crute

I am a trained Environmental Toxicologist and Developmental Biologist passionate about improving health outcomes globally. My thesis research addressed the question of how environmental exposures during pregnancy affect maternal and fetal health.

I earned my PhD from Duke University in the Integrated Toxicology and Environmental Health Program (ITEHP). I completed my thesis research in Duke’s Division of Reproductive Sciences, OB/GYN, and earned a Doctoral Certificate in Global Health at the Duke Global Health Institute.

Currently, I am a 2022 Science Corps Fellow at the American School of Tangier in Morocco. I am practiced in Science Communication and Education, Project Management, and Leadership.
